Families come back to Spider Lake year after year, and once you have spent a season here you understand why. The friendships the kids make in July are waiting for them again the following July. What makes it all work is how easy it is to get to. It is right here on Vancouver Island. No ferry line. No fighting for a campground reservation in February for a weekend in July. No full day of driving just to earn two days of rest. You can leave after work on a Friday, be here in time to get dinner going outside, and have the whole evening still ahead of you.
