Mahogany House by Fred Hollingsworth is now live online and will soon appear on international newsstands. As the story reveals, "It is the kind of house Hollingsworth set out to build: one that keeps its people close." Fred Hollingsworth designed this 1952 post-and-beam rancher around the mature cedars of North Vancouver's Canyon Heights, cladding it in marine-grade mahogany plywood inside and out; one family has kept it untouched since purchasing it in 1970, from the layered living room ceiling to the forest views beyond the glass. Read the full story online and discover why this quietly kept modernist home is ready for its next custodian. (id:27476)
